What's new in version 1.2

September 2005

Here is a list of the new and revised features in Slide Executive Desktop, released in September 2005. Read through this page for brief summaries of what's new.

Enhancements:

    The working area
The presentation of slides has been enhanced to support two different views. The first view is the same as before with fixed columns where the slide width is dynamically changed as the form resizes. The second view is the opposite to the current view with a width for the slides that is adjustable with a slider.

It's now possible to multiple select slides by checking the checkbox next to it in addition to using CTRL-Click.

It's now possible to drop slides in the first and last column on all rows.

    Zooming in on a slide
It is now possible to zoom in on a slide by pressing the CTRL and + keys or by using a magnify icon on a slide. If you have previously selected slides this possibly will enable you to enlarge a slide without loosing your selections.

    Improved re-indexing
When re-indexing a modified presentation, all virtual presentation links will now be kept intact.

    Enhanced slide zoom mode
With a specific setting enabled, the program will create vector-based slides to show in zoomed in mode.

    Smarter indexing rollback
Slide Executive Desktop will no longer rollback presentations that have been successfully indexed if an error occurs during indexing.

    Search in presentation
It is now possible to search in just one presentation.

    Creating a new virtual presentation
Creating a new virtual presentation does no longer require you to immediately decide its location.

Bug fixes:

    Indexing
Numerous fixes in the indexing process.

    Positioning and size save
The program will now remember and restore the positioning and size of the Folders and Search panels.
